Implicancias de la Inteligencia Emocional en los Estilos de Liderazgo

En el mundo empresarial han surgido interrogantes como ¿Por qué líderes inteligentes y experimentados no siempre triunfan en su trato con las demandas que los rodean y hasta con la vida en general? (Rosete, & Ciarrochi, 2005). Las habilidades no intelectuales son esenciales para conocer la capacidad de una persona para resolver problemas cotidianos y comportarse inteligentemente (Zachary, 1990). ¿Será tal vez que lo que necesitan los líderes es inteligencia emocional (IE), en lugar de la inteligencia cognitiva o rasgos de personalidad específicos? (Rosete, & Ciarrochi, 2005). Líderes emocionalmente inteligentes son conceptualizados como más felices, más comprometidos con las instituciones para las que colaboran (Abraham, 2000), sin embargo los estudios en torno al tema de IE como una realidad al interior de las instituciones y sus líderes continúa con una representatividad muy baja (Vakola, Tsaousis, & Nikolaou, 2004).Descargas
